A buffalo gives about 2000 liters of milk per year, which is a lot less than an ordinary dairy cow. Buffalo milk is much fatter and contains more protein than other types of milk. Most people with a cow's milk allergy and/or lactose intolerance can tolerate buffalo milk well. This makes buffalo milk products a good and especially tasty alternative.
